July-August 1887
In August Vincent paints two very large canvases intended to be the culmination of his experimentation with color and brushwork over the last few months.
The rich color palette of the Impressionists and the brushstrokes of the Neo-Impressionists, combined with Vincent’s strong draftsmanship, constitute a style reflective of his stay in Paris.
